Dr. Peter Nightingale, the Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Rhode Island, is long known for habituating the various protests, picket lines, and demonstrations throughout the state, perhaps most frequently in the last decade regarding climate change. But he also brings a deeper knowledge of the state’s current affairs into discussion as with regards to nuclear energy since the URI campus hosts a reactor.
As we shall describe in this video, Rhode Island plays a very tiny yet pivotal role on the Eastern Seaboard within the War Economy. Sen. Jack Reed, mentored by the late Sen. Claiborne Pell, is a classic Pentagon Keynesian, one who targets public expenditure towards the munitions industry in a public-private partnership setup so to increase levels of demand in the local economy.
