I originally recorded this commentary with Eileen Jones in the summer of 2021. We had radically unique understandings of the film and the larger Twin Peaks phenomenon and it afforded us a magnificent opportunity for serious discussion of how we interpreted things differently. Dr. Jones holds a Ph.D in Philosophy from the University of California at Berkeley. After several years of working in both the academic and film production fields, she became a full-time critic for Jacobin magazine while also maintaining her magnificent Patreon project Filmsuck, which includes biting essays alongside oftentimes-hilarious audio programs.
